"Although the city council agenda is not out as of Monday, 2pm, the July 16 Saggio Hills hearing stated that this Wednesday's continued hearing would consider the following:
- Applicant's response to comments
- Applicant's response to the reduced density proposal presented by Healdsburg Citizens for Sustainable Solutions, or any other smaller impact alternative
- Presentation on Green Building approaches
"Also, we expect that the council positions on the Affordable Housing element will finally be debated. Other project concerns from council members may also be debated.
"HCSS is expecting the applicant to dismiss any alternatives to the full project of 70 resort/residences and a 130 room resort, and to only agree to minor energy/water conservation measures, affordable housing tweaking, firehouse funding, and some LEED standards. HCSS will make comments at the hearing and hope you will too.
"The only scheduled future Saggio hearing is August 20! We will determine how to proceed in reducing the growing impacts soon after the August hearings are completed. The process is winding down. Also, take a moment to read today's PD article by concerned grapegrowers, as to changing growing patterns in Sonoma County and future increased needs for water."
